You already do this. Somebody on your street already knows it. A Kindness Card is where it gets written down — and the only thing it costs you is ten minutes to start.
That is not a trick of the design — it is the whole mechanism. Every question you answer in your own words puts another mark, another face, another photograph on the page. A card nobody personalised stays a flag. A card somebody spent twenty minutes on stops looking like a template and starts looking like them.
Not perennial. If the seeds are not put in the ground again the whole thing quietly disappears, and somebody has to go and find new seed. A card is not a trophy for what you did once — it is this year’s planting, written down where the street can see it.
Start at Rung 1 and stop whenever you like — the card is finished at every rung, and you can climb whenever you find another fifteen minutes. Most questions you answer by tapping a symbol rather than writing.
