The Kindness Gazette

The newspaper of record for kindness.

Est. 11,000 BC, give or take. The Gazette reports the good that's already happening around the Twin Cities and beyond: the acts, the organizations, the volunteers nobody thanks, and the occasional superhero audition. It runs on what people send in.

Why it exists

Most news covers what went wrong. This one covers what went right.

A neighbor who plows three driveways. A tech crew that stays late so a show can go on. A volunteer coordinator who has thanked everyone but herself. None of it makes the evening news, so the Gazette prints it. Success isn't how often AOK World gets seen. It's how often kindness does.

Local superhero seeks stage; cites Broadway connections

AOK Man arrived at auditions certain there was a role for an International Kindness Superhero. The director was less certain. A friend of a friend's mother played Maria in the original West Side Story, stepping in after Carol Lawrence, so the stage coach Gloria hired recommended he keep a low profile. AOK Man chose yellow formal wear.

How a story gets in

  1. Send it

A story, a photo, or an organization that deserves noticing. Yours or someone else's.

  2. Start your free Kindness Card

It's how we reach you to check the details. Fifteen minutes, nothing to buy.

  3. When it runs, it links home

The article points to your card, and your card points to the article. The more of your card you fill in, the more there is for readers to find.
